Ahh the Memories
I get nostalgic every time a driver has a great day like Greg Grismore did at Northfield on Friday (8 winners in 14 races). It reminds me of the time myself and the clocker took a trip down to Pompano Park back in the late 80's. I had been reading race results in The Horseman & Fair World every week and Kevin Wallis had been cleaning up down there, winning 4-5 races a night it seemed. My goal was to get to Pompano and bet Kevin Wallis, and that's just what I did. He was on fire that night and won 7 races and I had him on every one. Just a great night and a great memory. The moral of the story? Highlight Greg Grismore every race at Northfield and keep a close eye on him, no matter what his horse looks like.
