Time Flys

Woodbine & Meadowlands

Lets end this year with a bang. CLick on the track name for my Friday night Woodbine and Meadowlands picks. Best bets are Pacific Mariner in the 7th at Woodbine and Rare Jewel in the 10th at the Meadowlands. Good Luck and drive safely out there!

Oh so close to breaking out. Woodbine was 3/10 for -$1.20. There were 2/place, 0/show and 3/out of the money. Best bet won and paid $3.50. Meadowlands was 4/14 for -$2.20. There was 1/ place, 1/show and 8/out of the money. Best bet finished 2nd.

Weather Or Not

Wet Wednesday

With either wet weather forecast in the mid-west or tracks thawing out I have directed today's attention and selections to the what seems  an odd trio of Dover, Pompano and Cal-Expo who all have dry conditions in their forecasts... It's gonna be a busy day..a little casino and then some live racing tonight..here are the early selections for Monticello.. Ho's, Hockey Teams and Harness Selections

Carl the "Closer" and Clan made an unexpected surprise visit yesterday and his pair of fillies were oh so cute..they sure put the "Merry" in Christmas..The Closer said he may post a few guest selections for a planned trip Northville tomorrow...His wife may also tag along as she has been wondering where this place us degenerates hang out at the track..as she has never been elsewhere but the clubhouse on about half a dozen previous trips to the track..That reminds me the time I first met the Closers wifey...I asked him how far Minnesota was from Fargo and then I made a comment about how Minnesota was famous for it's "HO's" and "Hockey-Players"..He said, "Hey...My wife is from Minnesota"...I shot back.."Oh!..What team does she play for?"   Anyhow  the early selections are ready... Monday Woodbine

Just the thing to cure that Christmas hangover! Some headache free Woodbine picks! Click  right here for the pdf. Best bet is LH Stryker in the 9th . He's won his last two in romps and is looking to put this tougher field away for his third in a row. Hoping for a little bit of a price (2-1) with the bad post and the class jump.

Woodbine picks were 4/12 for +$11.30. In addition to the 4 wins there were 0/place, 4/show and 4/out of the money. Best bet won and paid $3.40.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah also!  You have one last chance to get some Harness in at either Freehold or Monticello starting at 11:30 AM at Freehold...Today's big hunch bet is at Freehold in race 7.."Yulestar N"...Not an official pick but pretty appropriate for today!  Rumor has it that Santa is actually headquartered in Michigan somewhere near "Northville" and his team pulling the sleigh is made up of 8 pacers and trotters....Albatross, Mack Lobell, Cam Fella, Rambling Willie, Greyhound, Niatross, Easy Irv, and Lightening Mick...and these 8 are led by the greatest pacer of all..."Dan Patch"..(who probably could go 1:44 with today's equipment and track surface)  Have a great and safe Holiday and we'll see you all in a few days.
