Still Hangin In There

Sorry, no selections again..I must of aggravated my back and I have some insane pain in my foot of all places!?  I guess I'll call it sciatica of the foot and it keeps reminding me it is there every few seconds...in other news I remain a bottom dweller in the Meadowlands Survivor Contest..by the slimmest of margins I have had 1 show in each of the first 2 days..tonight is no cake-walk either with a lot of youngsters going..anybody have anything to say or some selections to post?  Please do and for the rest of you..have a great evening while Handicapping Harness....Good Luck!

Monday Minder

Heads up people!  Consider this your reminder to get those picks in for the Meadowlands Survivor Contest 2006...The bad news is that out of about 1650 entrants, about 300 have already either have gone 0 fer 3 and are out, or have used their 1 free pass for the contest.  The good news is that you have another shot today, BUT post time is at 1:10 PM..so get those 3 selections in now..(all of the programs I have seen on-line for the Meadowlands state that post is 7:30...NOT!)  As usual I have survived day 1 by the skin of photo as 1 of my selections showed and I am now tied with a multitude of bottom-dwellers...and amazingly 3 contestants got all 3 winners...good luck! (and 15 races at Hazel Park...most I've ever seen there!)

Don't Forget The Contest!

Opening day is today for the Survivor Contest at the Meadowlands and here are a few reminders...Get your selections in by a half hour to post of the first race of the day...you only get 1 free pass, so pay attention to race dates and times..(Big tip here...Monday's program list the first post at 7:30 PM..however the special Memorial Day card actually starts at 1:10 PM FYI) and if your selection is scratched you will get the race favorite...I am down to two contenders for each of today's  legs and my comments on them are available in the Post Continuation below....Good luck to all!  (the link to there is listed under Handicapping Harness Links located on the right side of the blog and down a bit)

Click it HERE for some Hazel and Pompano.   Last evening in the Youbet.net daily contest I took a late stab with a 2nd time lasix horse at Hoosier...paid 57 to win but alas it was only good enough for 3rd place out of 445 players...no cigar.... ScreenShot088 is how it looks on their site if you care to take a peek.  Forgot to mention Ponder at Western Fair in the Molson eliminations..just to watch...race 3....

The fantasy turned into a nightmare...not 1 winner yesterday..oh well...give em hell!!..click right HERE for some Pompano and Meadows.  A side-note about the Preakness...back in 69 I attended it and saw the second of the great races between Majestic Prince and Arts and Letters...I had the Prince!...and still have the program from that day in history.....(still like Barbaro today)
