I hear ya on the long ways away. I don't know what I would do if the track here in Toledo closed. I suppose I could always take the occasional ride to Hazel, Northville or Windsor. I guess I am lucky in that respect, they are all only about an hour away, and they won't all close at the same time. But things are getting worse. This year Raceway Park will not be opening until sometime in April for the live meet. Racing only Saturday and Sunday until the middle of summer when they will pick up Friday. 16 less days of live racing this year. And this from the only harness track in Ohio that showed increases in attendance and handle last year. Not a good sign. Well, all I can do is enjoy it, and support it while I have it.

I wouldn't mind getting out to a track. Unfortunately for me, the nearest one is 2,459 miles away.

I am an " Other " voter, as I actually enjoy going to the track whether it is for live or simulcast. Even though it is a half hour drive one way, I still drive there even if I only have one race to play for the night. I guess I am in the minority these days.
