Well there is still nothing concrete about the scandal in Michigan involving the said to be up to 30 individuals in cheating...I threw out some names including Art McIllmurray and Brad Kramer...and for now I have to apologize to Brad because he is still driving and not hiding like Arthur...I did see a ruling by the ORC (Ontario Racing Commission)effective March 5 2010 which suspends him indefinitely...It will take some time to shake the whole story out...I rarely bet on Art over the past 30 years..he was good at getting blocked in and blind-switched...I remember I got so upset over one of his stiffs I went out to the rail and had a conversation with him while he warmed up another drive...I used the word "Moron" several times...If you would like to read more comments about this news your best bet is to go over to horseplop.com message boards under harness racing...Have a nice day Handicapping Harness...Good Luck!

We are going to take a trip out to the relatively new Pinnacle Racetrack located a mile or so south of Detroit Metro Airport this evening to check the place out...Exacta Eddie, $2DaD2$, myself and possibly Carl the Closer Sr. ...I am curious if the location has lured some of the Northville patrons.. In other news The Estimator was woken by a 6:00AM Tsunami warning siren in Hawaii...hopefully there will not be too much damage there..we will know at around 4 or 4:30 EST..I will have a write up after the trip...until then..Have a great day Handicapping Harness...Good Luck!
Uh..make that The Meadowlands...I have been in a funk for awhile now...but I did remember to advise our readers to click on the Youbet qualifier for the National Harness Handicapping Contest (NHHC) last Friday...I played and was the leader for a few races but then started to slip down the positions as each of my later bets were losers...I did notice that the players ahead of me were kind of staying at the same %...I was thinking should I go for broke and bet a few more races than the required 10 minimum?...I did and I dropped down to 10th place....Saturday night I noticed that somehow my bankroll at Youbet jumped about $500...what the heck was that about?..a bet I forgot about or an error by Youbet?...Finally I went to the Contest rules and saw that a 2nd place finish got $500 and a seat to the NHHC plus roundtrip air and 2 nights at the guest hotel...click on http://www.youbet.com/marketing/horseracing/contestCentral/100107_nhhc_qualifiers_results.asp and on February 12th the 2nd place finisher was yours truly...Gary R...aka: The Clocker... Today is my littlest brother Dennis's Birthday...He just happened to turn into a Grandpa on January 31 with the arrival of a new filly...named "Reagan"...Congratulations are in order for both!...in other news I got screwed again at bodog last Monday..I had the pick 3 but nobody bothered to have it on track (Northfield)...so instead of 4k + I got $37 x 8 combo's and another 40 to win on the horse...the 1-2 shot which was covered at the track managed to break or whatever...it was paying the pool...so ...I guess that is not the way to go for the gimmicks...back to youbet for those and only W&P at bodog...still pissed though...$2Dad is getting back into the sulky a bit more each day...he was walking around today on his own (with the cane)...he is doing well .....My back is aching...from the weather?...probably...so I am going to pop a pill and hit the hay.....plenty of time to look over tonight's Trotters...Hope things are going your way Handicapping Harness...Good Luck!
Last Friday the Dr.s told us to prepare for the worst case scenario...yesterday they said expect a full recovery.....the last 48 hours were remarkable...no more dialysis...no more pneumonia..no more slipping into a confused state (dementia)...no more Legionairres disease and other things...all he needs is to get his stamina back and do some physical therapy to get in and out of the bed and start walking....we kept up a 24 hour watch until last night...to make sure he didn't try to get up by himself...the watch has been canceled and normal visiting starts today....I am sure he is chomping at the bit and is thinking about Handicapping...(I think that is the real reason he made it? :) )...I will resume posting when all is back to normal...thanks all for your prayers and kind remarks....Have a great day Handicapping Harness...Good Luck!
More on cleaning up your house when Legionairres is suspected in the continue reading section...we are not sure he got it at home but it seems the most logical to us...and there was standing water in the humidifier....Brother Denny did the research on it....

I have not been Handicapping today...My $2Dad had to go to emergency for what we thought was something to do with his fairly new pacemaker...well we found out that it was not something critical..but he has been admitted for observation tonight...I won't be doing much harness wise..except they gave him 2 shots of Lasix directly into an IV...he said "now I'm gonna piss like a race horse"...that's $2Dad for ya.....have a good night Handicapping Harness....(I know $2Dad wishes he was at his computer looking for earplugs)....Have a good day and good luck!
