Big Time Saturday Night...

Yep..the majority of tracks use Saturday as the "best card" of the week..usually an Invitational and high conditioned and claiming purses...The Meadowlands used to be the King of Saturday Night...now looming large on the outside..Yonkers...is matching The Big M stride for stride..with both hosting an invitational (or Open)..tonight with a $32k purse...and when Chester gets rolling the open there may be at 40k or more!..well I have looked over the entire Meadowlands card tonight and have a prediction for each race..as the date of the NHHC of April 24 is only 5 weeks away...gotta get that practice in! Meadowlands Practice Selections March 6, 2010

Once again it is a Saturday at The Meadowlands practice card for me...about 7 weeks until the National Harness Handicapping Contest (NHHC)...I may play some of the picks if I get the right odds...for them click on Meadowlands Practice Selections March 6, 2010 ...in other news about 30 drivers, trainers and owners have been under observation by the FBI in Michigan for alleged cheating...Already Arthur McIllmurray and Brad Kramer came up missing from their drives last night...there is nothing concrete yet in print about the who did it...when there is I will post the news...for now (as well as the past few years) I basically ignore my Hometown Tracks here in Michigan)...Have a great day Handicapping Harness...Good Luck!

Get Well $2Dad$2

I have not been Handicapping today...My $2Dad had to go to emergency for what we thought was something to do with his fairly new pacemaker...well we found out that it was not something critical..but he has been admitted for observation tonight...I won't be doing much harness wise..except they gave him 2 shots of Lasix directly into an IV...he said "now I'm gonna piss like a race horse"...that's $2Dad for ya.....have a good night Handicapping Harness....(I know $2Dad wishes he was at his computer looking for earplugs)....Have a good day and good luck!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

I am not kidding...the cold was sneaking in through my slab floor and through my fur lined slippers ..my feet were taking a beating...but it was nowhere as bad as Fargo ND....Carl The Closer said a new record of 37 below? and a -57 with windchill....in Livonia Michigan we are warming up to 17 or so.....I scoped out a few races...hopefully the pacers and trotters will be ok in the cold...click on Cold In The Corner for the selections...The Estimator took a few days off and hit Vegas....So either the Al Stanley Sunday will have to wait until next week or maybe he will post them during the week...no promises from my department....keep your back to the cold when Handicapping Harness...Good Luck!
